Virote Witch Blade

Virote Witchblade…

Quenched in Blackthorn, collected from the ruins of the pyrness castle where the first witchcraft laws in Europe where written and enforced. Ritual blade is named after the Spanish word for crossbow dart, which is also a traditional word for a form of magical dart, or magic missile that is shot at people to curse them.

The steel is 80Crv2, heat treated knife steel, with approximately a 3 inch blade length.

Handle is hand turned, antiqued and ebonized wenge wood, with hand turned brass bolster and finial. Each are unique approximately 6 inches long, and always slightly different in design and shape. Each a unique piece of art, that is never like the one before, but baring similarities to the photo, but NEVER LIKE THE PHOTO. Art not factories!

Each is hand forged and made to order. Wait times on all made to order items are 8 weeks. 

We work with the alchemical philosophy that the properties of that which steel is quenched in takes on the qualities of said quenchant, the oil does not remain on the steel.

You must keep oiled to prevent rust, using non toxic food safe oils. Apply oil after washing immediately.

All items made by Troll Cunning Forge are a work of art and not a work of fabrication in a factory. Each is uniquely made and roughly based upon the design provided in the items photos. Each may have its unique features that make yours completely different from what was made for another. This ensures that what is made for you is made for you and not another. It also allows the blacksmith to not feel that he is a machine in a factory but a creator and artisan. Make times are at a minimum of 8 weeks, not earlier and may require more time to make. Etsy does not allow for much wiggle room when large and or multiple orders are made in one day, one order can require an extra week to fill, So one can imagine if one receives multiple orders of this size in one day that it can slow down make times by several weeks. Please keep in mind no one wants you to receive your order more than I do.
