Steel Dryad Wand, Scribe, and Hairstick

Quenched in lightning struck wood and foxglove to tame the spirit of the iron and not to offend the fair folk and nature spirits this method of taming the iron with foxglove was inspired from Daniel Schulke’s Viridarium Umbris.

Made from mild steel with wooden textured handle, coated with a copper patina and sealed with renaissance wax to prevent corrosion.

Can be used as a wand, hairstick, or candle scribe.

We work with the philosophy of folk magic and alchemy in our blacksmithing of iron talismans, by in the quench lends its virtues to the iron when hot and fixes them within the iron philosophically as the quench crystallizes and takes the hot iron from being mutable to fixed. These are practices being rekindled by troll cunning forge.

All items made by troll cunning forge are a work of art and not a work of fabrication in a factory. Each is uniquely made and roughly based upon the design provided in the items photos. Each may have its unique features that make yours completely different from what was made for another. This ensures that what is made for you is made for you and not another. It also allows the blacksmith to not feel that he is a machine in a factory but a creator and artisan. Make times are at a minimum of 8 weeks, not earlier and may require more time to make. Etsy does not allow for much wiggle room when large and or multiple orders are made in one day, one order can require an extra week to fill, So one can imagine if one receives multiple orders of this size in one day that it can slow down make times by several weeks. Please keep in mind no one wants you to receive your order more than I do.
