Sophia

Sophia, the female divinity.

In some schools of Gnosticism, Sophia (Greek for “Wisdom”) is a pivotal, divine feminine figure, often the lowest Aeon in the Pleroma (heavenly realm) who falls due to her desire to comprehend the unknowable Father. This “fall” creates a disturbance, resulting in the creation of the material world by her ignorant offspring, the Demiurge. She is a salvific figure, bridging the divine and human.

To others she represents the divine feminine, and the world soul.
