Rune Stav Charm, Reversal of Astrological Magic

I learned Icelandic rune stavs at the viridis genii symposium this year from Albert Shiell the Sussex Pellar and designed this Rune Stav, then had Pagan artist Maxine Miller clean up and redraw the design to make it perfect and beautiful.

The Rune Stav is for reversing astrological magic done towards you.

These are a limited run of two copper ones and are both quenched in reversing oil. They must be reddened by the owner.

Dark antiqued patinaed copper finish.

We work with the philosophy of folk magic and alchemy in our blacksmithing of iron talismans, by in the quench lends its virtues to the iron when hot and fixes them within the iron philosophically as the quench crystallizes and takes the hot iron from being mutable to fixed. The metal is cleaned, and treated with linseed oil or wax to preserve it and prevent rust. It no longer contains any plant matter poisonous or otherwise and is only dangerous “philosophically”. These are practices being rekindled by Troll cunning forge.
